Innovative Tuition Program

The Blue Ridge School Board of Trustees is taking an innovative approach to boarding school affordability for our upcoming academic year.

The first-year tuition amount can remain unchanged during a boy’s entire time at Blue Ridge if the tuition balance is paid in full before August 1 of each year he attends.

In addition, Blue Ridge School has created another initiative to help with the expenses of a boarding school education.  This program of grants in aid targets middle-income families.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to deserving students on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Each year, approximately 30 percent of Blue Ridge School students receive financial aid. These awards are reviewed annually and are contingent upon demonstrated need as well as good academic and social standing.

Financial Aid forms and filing instructions as well as student loan information may be obtained from the Admissions Office at the outset of the application process. These forms must be filed in January with School Scholarship Service (SSS) in Princeton, NJ, in order for Blue Ridge School to receive information by February 15. A copy of your tax return (1040) also must be submitted to the Admissions Office by the stated deadline. We encourage you to file early.

The Financial Aid application process is separate from the admissions process. Only after a student has been admitted to the School and all of the necessary financial aid paperwork is received will the Financial Aid Committee meet to review the request.

Blue Ridge School Testimonial

"Blue Ridge introduced something new to my life, and that is mountain biking. Everyone at Blue Ridge really encouraged me to do a mountain bike race, and that first race was really cool because it showed me I was good at something and gave me something to do other than just sit around. Now I ride all summer and can’t wait to get back on the Blue Ridge Mountains."
