Whitney Allen is a native of the Shenandoah Valley, where she was raised in Rockbridge County before continuing her family’s tradition of attending boarding school. She graduated from Chatham Hall in 2003 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in both Environmental Studies and Political Science from Randolph-Macon College. During her time at Randolph-Macon, Mrs. Allen was actively involved in campus life, serving on the Campus Events Committee, contributing to the Yellow Jacket student newspaper, and working in the Office of Marketing and Communications. Her professional experience includes roles with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Charlottesville, the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia across multiple administrations, and private litigation firms. Since 2017, Mrs. Allen has focused on raising her two daughters while operating a social media strategy business from her family’s home in Louisa County. She is honored to join Blue Ridge School as the Director of Parent Relations and Communications—a role she values deeply, informed by her own boarding school experience and her belief in the importance of strong, supportive relationships between families and the school community.
