Blue Ridge School marked the beginning of its 110th academic year on September 4, 2018, with an enrollment of 191 students, one of the largest opening enrollments in recent history. This year’s student body includes boys from 22 states, two U.S. territories, and 19 foreign countries.
Headmaster Trip Darrin says this year’s large enrollment shows that Blue Ridge School is on the right track. “Our retention rate is 93%, which is well above the industry average," says Darrin. "The fact that so many boys want to come back year after year—and that so many families see the value of the education we provide—is a clear indication that our mission to provide structured, personalized, and innovative education is working.”
During opening assembly on September 5, Student Body President Khaled Aburamadan of Alexandria, Virginia, told his fellow students: “I hope you are as excited about this new year as I am. Blue Ridge School has been an amazing home to me for a few years, and I know that this year will be the best one yet.”
