Blue Ridge School’s 2017 Alumni Weekend took place on October 13 and 14. The weekend began with the 27th annual Alumni Golf Tournament. More than 55 golfers enjoyed the Spring Creek Country Club course while 25 alumni and friends enjoyed a tour of several local wineries. The event was concluded with an awards dinner that featured a cocktail hour and a spirited live auction. A special thank you goes to our Jack Nicklaus sponsor, McNeel Builders, Inc., as well as the rest of our outstanding sponsors and supporters!
On Saturday, several alumni and their families arrived early for a complimentary breakfast in Battle House and were guided on a campus tour by junior Bryce Aylor ’19. The Baron Athletic Complex, Phase I and II, was officially dedicated on Saturday, October 14. During the dedication, Mr. Darrin had the privilege of honoring the 1967 state championship soccer team and toasting our donor community who made the completion of this project possible.
Finally, the weekend was capped by a 47 – 0 decisive victory over Randolph-Macon Academy followed by a cocktail reception at Battle House with Headmaster Trip Darrin.
