Congratulations are once again in order for seniors Justin Armwood and Jahlil Puryear as well as Coach Tim Thomas and the entire Blue Ridge School Football State Championship team. The FALCON Club recognized these individuals and the team at its annual banquet on Sunday, January 29, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Justin received the BRS Corbette King Student/Athlete award, and Jahlil received the BRS FALCON Club MVP award. Coach Thomas received the Outstanding Independent School Coach award, and the BRS team was given a trophy for being the FALCON Club VISAA Division II State Champions!

Membership to the FALCON Club (From A Little Comes Others’ Needs) is open to all individuals who share their commitment to the local community and high school athletes.

Throughout each football season, the FALCON Club accumulates statistics and other vital information about football players at local public and independent high schools. Its members select a Player of the Week, who is then featured in the local press. The club holds its Annual FALCON Club Football Awards Banquet at the end of the season. This event is attended by area coaches, award-winning players, club members and the local media.
