Clemson commit Aamir Simms ’17 was named Central Virginia’s Player of the Year, and Coach Cade Lemcke was named Central Virginia’s Coach of the Year by the Daily Progress on its C’ville Varsity website.

The Blue Ridge School Varsity Basketball team won the VIC Championship on February 25 as they bested Miller School 66-57 at Roanoke College. The following weekend, the team once again beat Miller 73-36 to win the VISAA Division II State Championship held at Virginia State University in Petersburg.

Aamir is a four-star recruit who played for Team Loaded during the spring and summer of 2016.  At 6’ 8”, he is known for grabbing both offensive and defensive rebounds.  His high energy and threat as a scorer were two of the important ingredients in Blue Ridge School’s successful 2017 campaign.
