Virgnia Living magazine included Blue Ridge School in its “Top High Schools and Colleges 2016 State of Education” issue. This issue recognizes schools for excellence and innovation in six categories: science, math and technology, arts and humanities, capital improvements, research and mentorships, athletics and special needs.  According to the magazine’s editor: “Virginia Living’s editors selected schools that have instituted programs … aimed at strenghthening students’ experience in the classroom, on the field, and in their communities.” In addition to universities and colleges, the list includes public and private schools in Virginia.

The editors selected Mr. John Young’s senior Walden Project in the list of top Arts and Humanities projects in private high schools.
