The Afternoon Outdoor Program is offered during the fall, winter and spring trimesters. The program offers a vast array of on-campus outdoor activities which take place during the scheduled athletic blocks in the afternoon.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, this group has the opportunity to head off campus to take advantage of the Blue Ridge School’s superb location for adventure activities such as rock-climbing, hiking, canoeing, skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking.
Both on-campus and off-campus trips emphasize team building and a respect for the environment. These trips offer low and high ropes challenges, hiking, mountain biking, trail building and maintenance, rock climbing (indoor and outdoor), bouldering, rappelling, canoeing, swimming, caving, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, map education and other special programs as they are time appropriate.
Former Barons football head coach Tim Thomas is returning to Blue Ridge School as Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator.
