Blue Ridge School is committed to building and maintaining an engaged and diverse student body. This year, our families come from 19 states and 25 countries (on five continents). We have offered more than $2 million to nearly 40 percent of our student body for the 2017 – 2018 academic year. We firmly believe in making educational opportunities available to qualified students, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
Blue Ridge School's Baron Scholarship Program offers substantial scholarships to boys applying for the 9th grade who exemplify character and leadership potential. Blue Ridge School has designated $105,000 to provide annual scholarships for qualified young men who are US citizens and rising 9th graders. For more information, click here.
Trustee Awards are merit-based scholarships provided to select students based on leadership, character and academic achievement. Funds for these awards are provided by the generosity of the Board of Trustees, alumni, parents and friends of the school. Please contact the Admissions Office for additional details.
Financial aid grants are awarded to families based on financial need. Parents and Guardians must complete the Parent's Financial Statement (PFS) through the Schools and Student Service Program (SSS) by NAIS program.
We encourage families to complete the PFS form as soon as possible as financial aid is awarded on a first come, first served basis. In addition to completing the PFS form, we also require a copy of the family's most recently filed tax returns (IRS-1040 and all applicable schedules) be uploaded to the the SSS by NAIS account.
The Financial Aid process is separate from the admissions process. Financial Aid decisions will only be made after a student has applied to and been accepted to the Blue Ridge School and all necessary financial aid paperwork has been received.
The Groves Family Legacy Tuition Program honors Robert W. “Bobby” Groves III ’67 and his family. Bobby and his wife Anne were the first alumni parents to enroll a child at BRS. Their son Billy graduated in 1995 and their nephews Johnson and Robert Stevens were equally successful here, graduating in 2003 and 2006, respectively.
Blue Ridge is incredibly proud of this legacy and for the sterling example that Bobby and his family have set.
