Leading from Experience
Meet The Head Coach
Head Coach Jesse Schmeizer brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to his coaching. He competed as a Division 1 cross country and track athlete during all four years of his undergraduate studies at Lafayette College. Lafayette College competes in the highly selective Patriotic League Conference along with Army and Navy as well as schools such as Lehigh, Bucknell, Colgate, American, Loyola of Maryland and the College of Holy Cross. Coach Schmeizer continues to train as a runner and enjoys running with the team during practices.
Runners Are Made In the Off-Season
The difference between good and great runners is what they do in the off-season. It is so important for athletes to take advantage of the summer months if they want to take a big step in their development as runners. Coach Schmeizer’s Running Camp will not only provide some of the most optimal training grounds on the east coast, but runners will learn how to map out their training and make big strides this year. There is not a better way to kick off the summer than attending camp at BRS.
Sportsmanship is a Core Theme
Blue Ridge School believes that young men need to learn how to win with grace, lose with dignity, and understand the value of healthy competition. Team sports contribute mightily to a young man’s physical and moral development. The Jesse Schmeizer Running Camp gives athletes an opportunity to train on a daily basis and learn to respond in a way that positively prepares them for the future.
