Coach Cade Basketball Camp

Learning From The Master

Get ready for a five-day experience designed to help players elevate their game while learning from Coach Cade, his staff, and Blue Ridge School players.

Campers will sharpen their skills through focused instruction, individual attention, and competitive 3v3 and 5v5 play that emphasizes teamwork and real-game application. Beyond basketball, boys will get a true sense of what it’s like to be coached and mentored at Blue Ridge School. Each camp runs alongside our other summer programs, giving campers the chance to connect, build friendships, and experience what it feels like to be part of the Baron community.

Meet The Head Coach

Coach Cade serves as the Head Coach for Blue Ridge School Varsity Basketball. Lemcke took over the basketball program in 2015 after serving as the associate coach in the 2014-2015 season for longtime coach, Bill Ramsey. During his time at BRS, the basketball team has won 6 state championships and 9 conference titles.

Prior to arriving at Blue Ridge, Coach Cade was an assistant coach at Longwood University. Prior to entering the college coaching ranks, he was the founder/director of the East Coast Fusion AAU Program. Lemcke played at the University of Virginia for Coach Pete Gillen.

Upon graduating from UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce in 2002, Lemcke started Off Campus Access, Inc and worked with colleges and universities as they expanded their dining hall meal plans to off campus restaurants in the community. He also spent time as the Director of Finance at the John Paul Jones Arena.

Coach Cade lives on campus with his wife, Karen, and their three children (Cohen, Mikella, and Caris).

The Brotherhood

Blue Ridge School has produced 30+ college basketball players and 6 pro players over the last 11 years.  Not only will you get to learn from the same coaches who helped develop college and NBA players like Mamadi Diakite (Virginia, Bucks/Cavaliers/Knicks), Maliq Brown (Duke) and Darius McGhee (Liberty, JL Bourg France), but you will also get to learn from many of these players as they assist as counselors at camp.  The Brotherhood runs deep, and these players enjoy giving back to the next generation.

Sportsmanship is a Core Theme

Blue Ridge School believes that young men need to learn how to win with grace, lose with dignity, and understand the value of healthy competition.  Team sports contribute mightily to a young man’s physical and moral development.  Coach Cade’s camp gives athletes an opportunity to compete on a daily basis and learn to respond in a way that positively prepares them for the future.
